Web Scripting & Interactivity Certificate

Web users want to be engaged with Web sites. They want two-way communication so that they can request and receive exactly the information they need on your products or services.

Through Web scripting, you can design a site that grabs attention, as well as provides ways to gather and understand the user's requests. Scripting can effectively enhance your organization's image, convey a message about your products and services, and enable customers and the public to interact with your organization. To support this, you must be able to acquire information from your Web audience and shape it to meet your needs as well as heighten the user experience.

In this Chancellor's Certificate program, you'll learn to:

  • Engage your users with special interactive effects, such as animations, message boxes, and dropdown menus.
  • Create forms with data validation so incorrect information cannot be submitted.
  • Write Web pages "on the fly" based on timing events.
  • Produce forms that gather user input and create pages designed to fit the user's needs.

You can earn this certificate in one of these two ways:

  • Complete a minimum of 48 hours in the classes specified below - 18 hours from Core, 18 hours from Scripting, and 12 hours from Electives.
