Chancellor's Certificate in Linux System Administration

Overview
Linux has grown in popularity for use in corporate, governmental, and educational computer systems. It has increased its share of the operating system market because it is cost-effective and stable, can be customized, and has built-in capabilities for providing network services. Linux can be used in a variety of situations - from real-time process control to database applications. It provides you with control over system configuration and upgrades. Linux includes many built-in tools that provide security and support e-commerce. These features make Linux a good candidate for a firewall or a Web server that can handle financial transactions. The growth of Linux has created a need for knowledgeable system administrators and network service providers to set up secure Linux server platforms.
