Introduction to Computers
Designed for students with little or no computer experience, this course introduces you to Windows-compatible computers. Learn about the standard and additional equipment used in conjunction with the computer, such as CD "burners" and DVD-ROM drives; terminology; and handling of floppy and compact discs. Learn to measure file size capacity (differences between bytes, kilobytes, etc.), and for those who are interested in purchasing a computer, some key items to consider. Become acquainted with a few Windows programs and the Internet. In-class exercises are included to help your retention level.
