In response to requests for specialized, half-day training, we have begun offering a series of accelerated courses that cover one or two features of a program in-depth. These courses are designed to increase your productivity and efficiency by targeting specific areas of a program, while the half-day format is ideal for students with busy schedules.

We are currently offering the following accelerated courses in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, as well as Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat:

  • Join us for Accelerated Topics in Excel: Introduction to PivotTables and learn how you can create and use PivotTables to save time in extracting, organizing, and summarizing meaningful information from your spreadsheets.

  • A follow-up to our Introduction to PivotTables course, Accelerated Topics in Excel: Intermediate PivotTables, addresses advanced PivotTable features that will enhance your ability to view and analyze data.

  • Take our Accelerated Topics in Excel: Importing Access Data course to learn how to use Excel's powerful analysis and reporting capabilities with your Access database records. You will discover valuable tips for troubleshooting data transfer and making the transfer process more efficient.

  • Our Accelerated Topics in Word: Macros course shows you how to save time and avoid errors by using macros for repetitive tasks. You will learn to record macros, create shortcuts, and share macros among templates.

  • Simplify the process of personalizing letters, e-mail messages, and other documents by using Microsoft Word's Mail Merge Wizard and toolbar. In Accelerated Topics in Word: Mail Merge, you will learn to sort data, use Word fields, and create a list or directory.

  • If Word numbering seems quirky to you, take our Accelerated Topics in Word: Outlines and References class to learn to use Word's outlining features efficiently. You will also learn how to create tables of contents and references.

  • One of the biggest concerns in database management is securing your data properly. Our Accelerated Topics in Access: Database Security course addresses these concerns by teaching you to protect your databases with passwords, encryption, and user-level security.

  • In Accelerated Topics in PowerPoint: Impact with Animation, you will learn to add impact to your presentations by using PowerPoint's animation features to animate text, graphics, and other objects on your slides.

  • Accelerated Topics in Dreamweaver: Publishing a Web Site will take the mystery out of preparing, publishing, and maintaining Web sites in Dreamweaver.

  • Accelerated Topics in Acrobat: Converting Office Files will help you simplify the process for converting Microsoft Office documents to PDF files.
